Are you looking for a stunning, educated, sound and vice free allrounder? AP Yambaah Prince is all that, Equimillions eligible and a pleasure to ride!

Yami retired sound from racing in 2018. He was retrained and competed in eventing by a teenager for two years, placing 4th in the EVA60 at Camden and competed EVA80 at Canberra. Yami was then bought by an adult as a dressage horse and has been thoroughly enjoyed by her for the last 4 years. Regrettably, due to her work commitments, Yami is to be sold. He has been in full work with Jess Stalling, at JS Equestrian - The Oaks, for the last three months.

During his current ownership, Yami has attended off property lessons and clinics, been ridden on trails and lived for a period of 6 months at Centennial Park. He was completely fine being stabled - didn’t love it or Moore Park Road - but was settled and did not get ulcers.

On the flat, Yami works consistently in a collected frame while being light in the bridle. He has natural flying changes. Yami, is responsive without being reactive and is willing without being forward. He is stunning with warmblood style floating movement - rumour is that his photos do not do him justice!

Over jumps, Yami is safe and keeps a consistent rhythm. He enjoys the variety of work, has proven himself to be safe and brave through water and is unphased by fill. Yami is confidently jumping 60-80 cm.

Yami is comfortable with the day to day nonsense of farm life, tractors, trucks, dogs and kids. He is good to catch, float, truck and is well behaved for the farrier. Yami will tie up all day and is straightforward to handle, clip and wash.

Yami is vice free in the paddock, to handle and under saddle. He does best when ridden 3-4 times a week. Yami is safe for a confident novice level rider but he is a big thoroughbred and would pick up on rider’s nerves and tension.

Yami has a scar on his leg which is over 18 months old. It is not at all ‘ugly’ and does not affect him. Yami is completely sound and in full work.

We believe that Yami would suit a confident novice and above rider who likes a large horse and movement. We are looking for a home that offers a variety of work for him - straight dressage is fine if he is given the opportunity to go on a trail ride or do some pole work too. Price is negotiable to the perfect home!
