Brambleridge Flex Ability is an outstanding showjumper with an exceptional pedigree. Able was bred to compete at the upper echelons of eventing or show jumping. Bred in America, Out of Sparrow's Tiptoes (*Grange Finn Sparrow x Choo Choo Blue (TB)) by Olympic show jumper, Flexible.

Flexible is an Irish Sport Horse stallion by the famed Cruising. Cruising was not only a successful show jumper himself, he has sired numerous show jumpers and upper level eventers. He had three offspring, and one grand-offspring at the 2012 London Olympics. Flexible, and his half-brother, Mr Medicott, both won horse of the year awards in 2012 for their respective disciplines. This is a proven line of top jumping horses.

Sparrow’s Tip Toes competed successfully through Preliminary, and in showjumping. Her sire, *Grange Finn Sparrow, needs little introduction, having sired numerous upper level eventers in the US, including five advanced level eventers. Tippy has already proven herself as an outstanding broodmare, having produced two exceptional fillies by two different stallions.

Able was purchased in the US, by his current owner, when he was six months old. He was broken in by her, before being enjoyed by a close friend of hers for 18 months and was then imported to Australia when she moved here in 2019.

Able started eventing in July/ August 2020. He is capable across the board and scored very well in dressage, to 64%, as well as overall up to 1* level. Able’s owner, however, feels he is more suited to straight showjumping than 4* eventing and switched him to straight showjumping, due to his carefulness, at the end of 2023.

Able is the ultimate educated performance horse. Training 115 and competing 110 and winning! He is a compact and solidly built gelding standing at 16.3hh, so suitable to a range of riders. Able is - to quote his rider - ‘so much fun to compete, he wants to keep the rails up and turns like a ‘zero turn’ John Deere mower!’ He is very hard to beat and just needs a capable and confident rider to handle his Connemara quirks!

Able loves life and will occasionally kick out when doing a flying change - just to show his enthusiasm - it won’t unseat the rider! He can also be ‘looky’ at things outside the ring (never worried by anything in the arena or any type of fill!), which makes him super careful to jump. Ironically, despite the odd spook at an event, he is exceptionally reliable and brave when trail riding!

Able is fit and in full work. He is the same to ride in any environment and super confident on trails He is less looky when worked regularly (like most horses!) but is absolutely safe after a spell. He is sound and not fed any special feed, no supplements and no medication. His owners welcome any vet check, xray, scan or blood test.

Able is a pleasure to be around. He loves people (which can make him 'in your face' on the ground) and enjoys trail riding, bareback riding and swimming. Able is happy on his own in the paddock or with others - he is everyone’s best friend - human or horse. He loves the attention of being stabled at home or at a competition. Able is straightforward to catch, handle, shoe and float - think ‘oversize pony’, no nonsense but does need to be kept in his place.

Able is for sale due to no fault of his own, unfortunately his rider is unable to compete in both showjumping and eventing, and eventing is her priority. Able loves competing and a busy performance horse routine meaning he would be wasted sitting in the paddock. He is currently in full work in a professional jumping stable for this reason. Able would suit a capable and confident junior, young rider or amateur, especially somebody keen on showjumping, interschools and combined training or eventing.

Able represents the best of his breed - intelligent, athletic, talented and trainable. At 10 years old, he has a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime ahead of him to nurture another rider.
