Introduction: Mezaire is a lovely young horse, currently in work with the Harvey family at Patanga Park in the Yarra Valley. She is for sale on behalf of her owner, who has unrelated medical issues.

Mezaire is bred to excel in either showjumping, eventing or dressage with the bloodlines, conformation, scope and temperament to make it at the top level.

She presents an amazing opportunity to take on such a lovely straight forward young horse, which at 6, is already suitable for a capable amateur rider.

Bloodlines: Mezaire’s was sired by Metall is an impressively built stallion who competed successfully up to Prix St. Georges and has produced several Grand Prix horses and licensed sons, the most striking and famous of which is, without a doubt, Uthopia.

Uthopia was ridden by Carl Hester, they were selected to represent Great Britain in the 2012 London Olympics winning gold in the team dressage. Together they have won a total of five Championship medals - two individual silvers at the 2011 European Championships in addition to Olympic gold.

Mezaire is out of Equus hattie. Hattie was sired by Higgins. Higgins is ever popular in both eventing and show jumping breeding programs. His progeny exhibit the quality, athleticism and temperament, characteristic of Higgins himself.

Heraldik xx is one of those rare stallions who has had offspring compete at the highest levels in all three disciplines.  At the WEG in 2010 Heraldik had three offspring in eventing, and one each showjumping and dressage. The countless numbers of internationally successful offspring has brought Heraldik xx to the top of the WBFSH - Sires rankings for event horses for many years..

Higgins dam line is For Pleasure, Grunstein and Arsenik, are all producers of international competition horses.

Conformation: Mezaire has been allowed to mature slowly and, as such, will be sound throughout her competition career. She is a modern, compact and athletic warmblood, just like her parents. Mezaire’s conformation has enabled her to take to ‘life under saddle’ with willingness and acceptance.

Education, riding and experience: Mezaire was broken in at 5 years old. She has been beautifully well started and has an excellent foundation. Mezaire  works softly and shows a natural ability and willingness to collect. She has shown scope, bravery and carefulness over a variety of jumps. Mezaire has attended a Freshman’s Showjumping Day and was settled when ridden in that atmosphere. She is quiet when ridden around the farm and down roads.

Current workload/ fitness: Mezaire is in currently in full work. She is safe to ride after and spell and doesn’t need a lot of work to be safe and sensible.

Handling: Mezaire is sensible to handle - catch, groom, saddle, wash, float and for the farrier.

Behaviour: Mezaire is green but vice free and sensible under saddle.

Feeding and management: Mezaire does not require any specific feeding or management.

Medical history: Mezaire does not have any medical issues and has not shown any lameness or pain during breaking and her early education, that would be suggestive of any issues. Mezaire has a small, flat, thin scar on her hind leg, photos are in her portfolio. This scar has not affected her in any way.

Rider Suitability: Mezaire requires a competent and capable rider due to her age, size and level of education. She is sensible enough for a teenager or amateur to bring on under supervision.

Reason for sale: Mezaire is for sale, by Patanga Park, on behalf of her owner due to their unrelated medical issues.

WIth Mezaire’s  intelligence, talent, and willingness to please, she is perfect for someone looking to bring on a lovely, uncomplicated young horse.
