NEWSFLASH - 17.11.24 - Beauty just placed 4th in her two dressage tests!
Introduction: Beauty is a ‘beauty’ - a very well bred young horse, currently in work and competing. She is bred to excel in either showjumping or eventing with the bloodlines, conformation and character to make a fabulous horse for a young rider or petite amateur.
Beauty presents an opportunity for an astute buyer to purchase a very well priced, sensible and straight forward young horse.
Bloodlines: Beauty was sired by Helen Chugg/ Diamond B Farm’s Baluga. His sire, Balou du Rouet is the best sire son of his illustrious sire, triple World Cup winner and Olympic horse, Baloubet du Rouet. Balou is following his father’s example already, being the sire of First Class, a member of the German Bronze Medal winning team at Rio.
Baluga brings to the table a tremendous mind, quiet, intelligent and very very rideable. He is competing at Mini Prix and Grand Prix level. He has a round, scopey jump, light off the ground and careful. He stamps his progeny with his uphill correct conformation, wonderful legs and feet, and the added bonus of bling.
Beauty is out of A Question Of Time - a fabulous thoroughbred eventer.
Conformation: Beauty has been allowed to mature slowly and, as such, will be sound throughout her competition career. She is a smaller, compact type and suitable for a smaller or junior rider.
Education, riding and experience: Beauty was professionally broken in at 4 years old. She has been well started and has a basic foundation. She is relatively green and does need work with her canter transitions. Beauty is generally willing and unflappable but can have the odd lazy, young horse moment and does occasionally have a look at things.
Beauty has shown scope, bravery and carefulness over a variety of jumps. She has attended clinics and Lady’s Days and was settled when ridden in that atmosphere. Beauty is quiet when ridden around other horses, on her own or around the farm and down roads.
Current workload/ fitness: Beauty is currently in full work. She is safe to ride after a spell and doesn’t need a lot of work to be safe and sensible.
Handling: Beauty is sensible to handle - catch, groom, saddle, wash, float and for the farrier. She can occasionally plant her feet when loading onto the float but walks on with very little encouragement. Beauty is a no-nonsense ‘get on with it’ type. She is a hardy, brave and handy little horse.
Behaviour: Beauty is green but vice free and sensible under saddle.
Feeding and management: Beauty does not require any specific feeding or management.
Medical history: Beauty does not have any medical issues and has not shown any lameness or pain during breaking in and her early education, that would be suggestive of any future issues. Beauty does get mild itch around her ears, in a high rainfall area, which is managed with a hooded combo rug.
Rider Suitability: Beauty requires a competent and capable rider due to her age and level of education.
Reason for sale: Beauty is for sale on behalf of her breeder/ owner/ rider, as she is moving on to a schoolmaster show jumper.
With Beauty’s conformation, temperament and talent, she is perfect for someone looking to bring on a lovely, uncomplicated young horse.
