Introduction: Yogi is the ultimate interschool unicorn. He is one-in-a-million with the sweetest and kindest temperament. Yogi’s aim in life is to please his person and he is an absolute delight in all ways.
Education, riding and experience: Yogi has been absolutely amazing in his current home and has been a wonderful schoolmaster for his rider since she was 11 years old. He has a solid dressage foundation, he has competed novice. He is supple, with smooth transitions and he works kindly in a collected frame. Yogi scores in the mid to high 60%.
Yogi is a keen, careful, brave and safe jumper. He has competed successfully with a junior and has proven himself to be extremely easy, honest and reliable. One highlight was placing in the 90cm at State Interschool level in 2024. He has evented to EVA95, competed 90/100. Yogi has trained to 1* cross counting and 110 showjumping level. He
General demeanor under saddle: Yogi is willing and responsive under saddle. He has a snaffle mouth and collects automatically. Yogi is balanced, reliable and fun to ride. He can be competed, ridden bareback and ridden on trails without issues. Yogi has a wonderful temperament and is the same at home as he is at competitions.
Current workload/ fitness: Yogi is currently in light work as school has gone back.
Handling: Yogi is safe and easy to handle - to catch, shoe, wash, saddle and float.
Behaviour: Yogi is very affectionate and is an absolute pleasure to have around. He does not have any dirt, quirks or vices - however, if the rider is tense and anxious, Yogi may be tense. He won’t do anything dramatic but he may hollow through the back.If overfed and super excited, he may very occasionally do a one kick out under saddle, but this is not even a small pigroot.
Yogi does not need regular work to be safe. He is safe after a spell but is lunged before the first ride, after a spell, just so he is tension free.
Feeding and management: Yogi is fed a low energy diet and is currently fed a mineral and a gut supplement as a preventative - like the majority of performance horses.
Medical history: Yogi does not have any medical issues.
Rider Suitability: Yogi would be suitable for a confident novice - to an intermediate rider - who wants a gorgeous, stress free mount who will give so much love and enjoyment. Not suitable for a beginner due to size, breed and education.
Reason for sale: Yogi is very reluctantly for sale because his owner has moved on to another horse. This is a very difficult sale. Yogi will only be sold to a wonderful, approved home.
