Let’s get real here, the ‘perfect horse’ with flawless results, even when ridden by a junior, is not for sale. 

If we can find it, off market, it is probably 3 x most people’s budget!

Don’t even get me started about people refusing to travel more than a few hours, to view horses… 

Your budget is not the issue (read that again).

The issue is that your expectations - for what you can buy and where you can find it - may not be realistic. 

In saying that, a wise man once said to me that ‘everyone wants cheap, sound AND educated but if you want cheap, you can’t have both sound and educated’…

Our advice:

• Research what that budget can buy you.

• Work out your needs and goals for the horse but limit yourself to a maximum of three ‘deal breakers’ - be prepared to compromise on everything else! Colour, markings, being a mare and breed are NOT deal breakers! #beoffwithyou 

•  Remember that no horse or human is perfect. 

• Remember that it takes over 12 months for a rider and horse to form a working partnership.

• Remember that this horse probably wont be 2 hours from your house but it’s cheaper to go to WA to view the RIGHT horse, than view and vet check 15 duds that are around the corner!
