Introduction: Minx GHP aka Mouse is a delight to ride, handle and compete. Mouse was started and produced to 120 level by Olivia Hamood. Mouse was then purchased for her owner when she was just 13 years old. She has excelled and progressed beautifully in the role of ‘juniors’ pocket rocket for the last three years.
With Mouse’s owner commencing university, and scaling back her riding, this sale presents a wonderful opportunity for another young rider to learn from and succeed with such a wonderful mare.
Bloodlines: Mouse was undoubtedly bred in the purple being sired by JB Evolution who is by Mr Blue a multiple winner of International Grand Prix and sire of many international winners including World Cup final winners Plot Blue and Simon. Out of a Family Ties, Brilliant Invader cross mare.
Evolution is a major talent himself - multiple champion, including at Sydney Royal in section 2 and many Titles including the 2025 JNSW Indoor Junior Title. Evolution is careful and easy horse to ride. He has exemplary conformation and exceptional jump as well as his trainable brain make him a pleasure to campaign.
Mouse dam sire is the famous Ramiro. Ramiro had numerous wins at all levels of showjumping – Nations Cups, Puissance (jumping over 2.2 metres) and international Grand Prix competition.
Conformation: Mouse is a wonderful example of the modern performance horse - compact, athletic and refined. Her paces display elasticity, power and activity.
Education, riding and experience: Mouse is well established on the flat and would be competent to compete at novice level dressage. She has automatic flying changes, established leg yields, shoulder ins, travers, turn on forehand, and counter canter. This makes her rideable, adjustable and competitive on course.
Mouse is eligible for Pony Dressage with an official (expired) measurement of 147.95cm (14.2 1/4). She has competed EVA95-1* eventing and would also make a super show hunter.
Mouse is competing 110 to 115 with 120 jump offs. She is training up to 135 at home. She loves to jump and to compete in jump offs and Grand Prix style events - Equestrian In The Park.
Mouse is a true ‘junior’s pocket rocket’ - tolerant of rider mistakes, always aims to please, and is forward and willing. She knows her job and is clean and precise. Mouse is naturally quick with a huge stride for a little mare. She feels like a ‘big horse’ to ride and has a lot of ‘ping’!
Mouse is honest, trustworthy, brave and is very careful around the course. She is super bold cross country. Mouse loves swimming at the beach and hanging out with ‘her person’. Mouse is always 100% safe. She is currently in work and competing.
Handling: Mouse is patient and well mannered on the ground to rug, wash, shoe etc. She is great for the farrier and to clip. Mouse is very easy to load, travel and unload - in either a float or truck. She loves cuddles and affection.
Behaviour: Mouse has traveled all over the country. She is happy in big city and Royal Show environments. She travels well - loads and unloads without fuss and eats and drinks well when away from home.
Mouse is sensible and reliable to ride and handle. She does not have any vices under-saddle or on the ground.
Feeding and management: Mouse is fed a simple diet of chaff, Zero and hay. Mouse is happy to be stabled and prefers being paddocked on her own.
Medical history: Mouse does not have any medical issues. She has never had any joints injected or any lameness concerns.
Rider Suitability: Mouse would suit a confident and competitive junior or small adult rider who is looking for a straightforward and competitive horse to move up the show jumping levels. It is a testament to her character that she has tolerated inexperienced young riders on her - for lessons on the lunge - but she is too talented and has too much 'blood' to be purchased for a beginner or nervous novice rider.
Reason for sale: Mouse is very sadly for sale due to her owner commencing university and having limited time.
