Introduction: Jack is a truly lovely young horse. He is bred to excel in dressage or showing with the bloodlines, conformation and talent to make it at the top level.

Jack presents an amazing opportunity to take on such a beautiful straight forward youngster, who will have enough talent for a professional rider but the temperament to excel with a capable junior or amateur rider.

Bloodlines: Jack is by Prestige VDL (Silvano N/Goodtimes/Ahorn  Z) out of Challenger Jamellia (Jive Magic/Regardez Moi/Rubinstein I). Jack has 'old school' proven bloodlines and there is no doubt that, in the right hands, he will go FEI.

Challenger Jamellia is a hugely talented mare with the most amazing friendly, patient and forgiving nature. She has taken her AOR from novice to advanced level competition in 4 years - learning together. Jamellia would no doubt have made Grand Prix level if she'd been professionally trained.

Prestige VDL was champion of his stallion test in Sweden with scores of 8 for walk 8 for trot and a perfect 10 for canter. From the test riders he was awarded 9 for gaits and 9 for dressage potential. He was KWPN licensed in 2003 with high scores for gait and dressage talent.

Competing with Edward Gal he scored 70%+ successfully in international competition. Now in Australia, Prestige dominated the international Grand Prix classes with scores boasting over 73%. In 2013 he was Australian National Grand Prix Champion, QLD Grand Prix Horse of the Year, and in November held the highest World Ranking Australian at 73 and was placed on the National Elite squad in anticipation for the World Equestrian Games.

In Australia, Prestige’s progeny are a testament to the quality that Prestige consistently produces. AEA Prestige ridden by Mathew Dowsley and Bradgate Park Puccini ridden and owned by Michelle Baker, were on performance squads and competed to Grand Prix level. Ashwood Park Prescott and Ashwood Platinum Australia are currently performing very well too!

Prestige VDL stamps his progeny strongly, producing foals with a good front, powerful gaits, correct conformation and horses that move uphill with a lot of power from the hind leg with a strong canter. They are known for their willingness to work and unrivalled perfect temperament and character… horses that have the mindset and talent to want to compete at Grand Prix standard.

Jive Magic was a top Grand Prix competition horse with wins including the Grand Prix at the prestigious Sydney CDI 2010. His stellar competition career was cut short by an accident whilst performing breeding duties. Nevertheless, Jive Magic does live on in the performance arena through his outstanding progeny, including five outstanding Ryan bred horses that have competed to Grand Prix level.

Regardez Moi is the most successful Grand Prix dressage stallion in Australian history with more than 40 Grand Prix wins. He won the Grand Prix Freestyle Grand Final at Equitana for three consecutive years which to date has never been equalled. Regardez Moi again won the Grand Prix Freestyle at the 2014 Sydney CDI. This is a record breaking 6th time freestyle win at the Sydney CDI.

Utopian Cardinal followed in his fathers footsteps and became the Australian Grand Prix Champion 2016-2017. Progeny from Regardez Moi are not only starring in the dressage arena but unexpectedly are being very successful also in the 5* star Eventing arena.

Regardez Moi is genetically way ahead of his time being by straight dressage bloodlines incorporating Rubinstein, a double cross of Angelo, backed up by Consul, Donnerhall, Pik Bube and Swazi.

Conformation: Jack is a modern, compact and athletic warmblood, just like his parents. Jack’s conformation will enable him to take to ‘life under saddle’ with willingness and acceptance.

Movement and temperament: In the article ‘Foal to FEI’ Maryanna Haymon, who has been breeding warmbloods for 27 years, says that dressage standouts can be spotted at the foal stage. She says that foals with an aptitude for dressage will perform such movements as piaffe half-steps, passage, flying changes, and canter pirouettes as they frolic in the field: “These things are natural to top-level horses when they are babies.”

Haymon also looks for evidence of innate bravery, curiosity, and a desire to interact with humans, all of which, she believes, stoke the work ethic needed for high-level dressage achievement. She likes to see a foal that’s willing to leave its dam’s side to come over, sniff and greet people.

Jack encompasses these future FEI attributes. He has lovely floating movement and his frolicking shows glimpses of those FEI movements. His personality is very friendly, in your face, he just wants to be with you! Jack is inquisitive, nothing much bothers him and he enjoys new experiences. His mum is the lead mare of the herd which is reflected in him; he is the oldest and the boss of the three foals in the herd. He can be a bit opinionated but will make a sensible choice and back down, if repeatedly challenged.

Behaviour and handling: Jack is very easy to catch and has had basic handling and halter training. He has had his feet trimmed by the farrier and been floated with his mother.

Feeding and management: Jack does not require any specific feeding or management. He has not been weaned and lives off grass but eats mum’s hay and hard feed - Prydes Bio Mare, chaff, boiled barley.

Medical history: Jack does not have any medical issues.

Rider Suitability: Jack requires a competent and capable rider due to his age and potential

Reason for sale: Jack is for sale as part of his owner’s breeding program.

With Jack’s  intelligence, talent, and willingness to please, he is perfect for someone looking to bring on a lovely, uncomplicated young horse for the future.
